Hi!

I'm Laura, the owner of Declan & Smith Party Décor. I do all the things including designing, crafting, shipping, emailing, website design, blog posts, inventory, accounting. I mean, ALL the things. :) And I love every minute of it! 

While I've been selling on Etsy for six years, I just started selling on my own website about ten months ago (at the time of writing this blog). While I love Etsy and will continue selling on their platform, I am so very excited to spread my wings and expand my brand via my own website. 

I'm a single mom to the most adorable six year old boy. Haha - Doesn't every mom say that?! Declan is adorable, but he's also filled with attitude, sarcasm, and has a potty mouth that rivals adults. He loves dirt bikes, BMX and is a complete social butterfly. Myself, I am an introvert, but I'm working on stretching those wings to support his need to be around people. 

We homeschooled for Kindergarten but in just one short week, Declan will be starting first grade at our local public school. Hallelujah!! 

When I'm not working (which is all the time), cooking (my second favorite way to spend my time), supporting Declan's dreams of becoming a pro motocross racer (Y'all, he's put a track in my backyard!) and occasionally cleaning my house, I can be found reading, laying on my front porch swing, or looking for new vegan recipes. New vegan here! If you have any favorites, please send them my way! And fun fact about me. I don't love the beach. I really want to love it, but gosh, it's so much work! Give me a cabin in the mountains any day!!
